Shannon Coombs, President of CCSPA, will present on the regulatory landscape at the federal level of the Canadian Government for chemicals management, emerging ideas for future legislative and regulatory outcomes in the short term, and the current political climate including trade – all of which impact the consumer specialty products industry.

Celebrating 20 years with the association, Shannon started with CCSPA in 1998. As President, she is the association’s spokesperson, responsible for the implementation of effective government relations, regulatory strategies and public affairs on the critical issues for member companies.
CCSPA is a national trade association representing 35 companies across Canada. Our member companies manufacture, process, package and distribute consumer, industrial and institutional products such as soaps and detergents, domestic pest control products, antimicrobials, aerosols, deodorizers and automotive products.
Shannon has an honors degree in Political Science from Carleton University, as well as extensive experience in government and political arenas. Shannon sits on various Ministerial Advisory Panels and Committees. Shannon lives with her son in Ottawa.will present on the regulatory landscape at the federal level of the Canadian Government for chemicals management, emerging ideas for future legislative and regulatory outcomes in the short term, and the current political climate including trade – all of which impact the consumer specialty products industry.
