FCA Webinar: Understanding the Supreme Court’s Tariff Decision
Fragrance Creators Association to Host Complimentary Open Industry Webinar on Supreme Court Tariff Ruling
The Fragrance Creators Association (FCA) will host an open industry webinar on Tuesday, February 24 from 9:00–11:00 a.m. Eastern Time to address the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision striking down the President’s IEEPA tariffs and the Administration’s next steps.
Register now. Space is limited.
In response to the ruling, the Administration is imposing an immediate 10% tariff under Section 122 (for up to 150 days) while initiating Section 301 investigations to restore broader tariff levels. Additional authorities under consideration include Sections 338 (discriminatory practices), 201 (safeguards), and other trade mechanisms. The situation remains fluid.
With the strong support of our members, FCA remains at the forefront of trade and tariff advocacy for our sector. In anticipation of additional tariff authorities being activated, we have proactively engaged senior policymakers to ensure the fragrance value chain’s priorities are clearly understood and positioned in advance of further action. To date, FCA has secured nearly $2 billion in fragrance-related tariff exclusions and maintains sustained engagement with the White House, USTR, and the Department of Commerce, including at the Cabinet level. These established relationships ensure the fragrance value chain has a credible, informed, and effective voice as trade policy evolves.
Because fragrance supply chains are global and deeply interconnected, these developments affect not only U.S. imports and exports, but enterprise-wide sourcing, pricing, compliance, cost structures, and tariff exposure across markets. While FCA’s mandate is fragrance, the trade intelligence generated benefits companies across their broader operations. Alignment across the entire value chain — suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and brands worldwide — is essential to manage risk and seize opportunity.
This webinar is open to domestic and international companies across the fragrance value chain. FCA members and qualified nonmembers may register, subject to review, and will be asked to confirm their role within the industry.
The webinar will feature trade counsel from Crowell & Moring, who will provide:
- Legal analysis of the Court’s decision
- Insight into alternative tariff mechanisms being deployed and considered
- Implications for tariff exclusion annexes
- Perspective on refund exposure and implementation considerations
- Practical guidance for navigating the evolving trade environment
