Fragrance Creators' 2021 Impact Report

Dear Members --

CONTINUITY. In times of confusion and uncertainty, this becomes a precious word—the reliable delivery of meaningful care—people you can count on. It embodies the comfort and confidence that comes in knowing that those we entrust with our interests will keep fighting and keep delivering during times of challenge as they do during times of prosperity.

In thinking about 2021, the word CONTINUITY shines. During the second year of the pandemic, together, we continued to accelerate Fragrance Creators' representation and coordination, as well as the genuine care for people that we operationalized at the onset of the pandemic. This elevated state of caring and doing has become our new set point, increasing the value we delivery while prioritizing fragrance industry stewardship.

2021 brought with it new opportunities and challenges along with a slow return of the “issues du jour” for the fragrance industry, but with a new wisdom that has come from fighting the challenges of the pandemic—extending our CONTINUITY of care. We advanced on approvals of newer, greener fragrance materials and technologies because we care about the environment. We accelerated our supply chain advocacy because we care about consumer access to affordable products. We expanded The Fragrance Conservatory because we care about people’s right to know and understand. And we stepped up our member support on a variety of new and precedent setting rules because we care about compliance.

Fragrance Creators leads and partners in all burgeoning fragrance related policy, legislative, and regulatory discussions in the U.S. and Canada—harnessing our network of over 1000 scientific experts and the strength of our stakeholder relationships—bringing several bills and proposals to the finish line. In 2021, we maintained our CONTIUNITY of service as we transitioned to the implementation phase of these new rules. We supported our membership in analyzing and complying with these new requirements; some extraordinarily complex and subject to constant updating.

In the pages of our Impact Report, we share specifics about how we—our collective membership—have delivered meaningful and measurable value to business and the public. Embedded in our work is a deep care for people and the planet consistent with a set of values that undergird our purpose: To empower the fragrance value chain to deliver good for people and the planet. This what we mean when we say Fragrance Creators’ purpose is to advance responsible industry stewardship.

We, along with the Fragrance Creators staff, are immensely grateful for the incredible sense of purpose we have in representing the fragrance industry at-large. We are proud to represent you—companies that prioritize diversity of perspective and invest in leading responsible industry growth. We look forward to working with all of you—extending our CONTINUITY of care— by doing and delivering more in 2022 and beyond!

Sincerely,
